Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows scheduled reload task fails with Unsupported file format version error

Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows task fails with the following error:

DOC loading: LoadDocument caught extended exception 3004: Unsupported file format version 
DOC loading: Exception while loading document (GUID).

Resolution

 

The app file is damaged and cannot be opened by the Qlik Sense Engine.

  1. Export the app, and reimport it
    If this works then corruption may be related to document objects that are not part of the main app, such as private sheets or bookmarks.
  2. Open the app without data, and save it as an empty app.
    If the empty app can be reloaded, then the corruption may have been related to the data part of the app file.
