You experience crashes of the QlikView Server service.

Looking into the QlikView Server Event logs (Default: C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikViewServer\Event.log) you see this error report Phoenix failed to access ServerReg within 300 seconds

Environment:

QlikView

This error means that the QlikView Server Service has been trying to proceed an operation for more than 300 seconds.

Resolution:

This error means that the QlikView Server Service has been trying to proceed an operation for more than 300 seconds. This time reached, QlikView Server will trigger a restart of the service.
The root cause might be different and here are some suggestion to troubleshoot:

  1. The first thing you can do is to set up DEBUG logging for the QVS to get more information about what's happening. See How to turn on Debug logging for the QVS service.
  2. Check if there is resource saturation on your machine (CPU / Memory). See How to set up performance monitoring for QlikView Server Service(QVS) (perfmon)
  3. Try to remove every mounted folder in QMC > System > QlikView Server > Folder. If it resolves the issue, add them back one by one until the problem appears.

There might be a problem with a specific document in this mounted folder or too many files to scan for the QlikView Server.

Make sure the mounted folders contain only QlikView applications to make the QVS scan faster and more efficient
