How to create a small sample data set in QlikView using a Ctrl+Q+Q shortcut

Sometimes a small sample data set is required in the QVW document.


  • Start QlikView Desktop and go to File > New (Ctrl+N) to create a new document.
  • Go to File > Edit Script (Ctrl+E) to open the Edit Script dialog

  • Type Ctrl+Q+Q. This will generate a sample script. Click OK.

  • Go to File > Reload (or hit Ctrl+R) to load the data.
  • Go to File > Table Viewer... (Ctrl+T) to check the sample data set generated by the script.
